Givelify Mobile Giving App News for iOS and Android

Givelify and iOS 9.0 Compatibility

This Wednesday, September 16, Apple will release the latest version of its operating system for iPhones and iPads, iOS 9. We have discovered a compatibility issue with the current version of the Givelify giving app (2.2.7) and iOS 9 that will prevent users from completing their donations.

An update has been submitted to Apple and will go live in the App Store upon approval. Unfortunately, Apple is unable to provide us with an approval date. Our best guess is about one week from today (September 21). In the meantime we recommend that all Givelify donors on iPhones wait to update to iOS 9 until Givelify 2.2.8 is released by Apple.

If your iPhone is set to automatically update or if you upgrade manually, be on the lookout for the Givelify app update so you can make all your donations.

Android Support Update

On Wednesday, September 30, Givelify will no longer support Android versions 2.X and lower. This includes all releases of Gingerbread, Froyo, Eclair, Donut and Cupcake.

The current version of the Android OS is Lollipop (5.1.1). We recommend at least Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) for full compatibility. If you’re unsure what version of Android your phone is running or how to update, see this article for help.
