Help Givelify Pack the Pantries This Holiday Season
Givelify is proud to be an official sponsor and mobile donation platform for the seventh annual Pack the Pantries Indianapolis hunger relief campaign.
About Pack the Pantries
Pack the Pantries is a city-wide effort that raises awareness about issues of hunger in our community and encourages residents to help their neighbors during the holiday season when the need is greater. All donations benefit Midwest and Gleaners Food Banks who provide hunger relief to Indianapolis children and families.
Since Pack the Pantries launched in 2008, the City of Indianapolis and community partners have donated over 200,000 pounds of food and raised more than $100,000.
Launch Event
On Friday, October 31, Team Givelify was on hand at the launch press conference. Mayor Greg Ballard kicked off this year’s campaign with help from Indianapolis luminaries including Jim Morris, CEO of Pacers Sports & Entertainment, Noel Paul of the Indianapolis Hunger Network, Cindy Hubert, CEO of Gleaners Food Bank, and John Whitaker, CEO of Midwest Food Bank.
There were even mascots on hand from the Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever, Indy Fuel, Indianapolis Indians, and Indy Eleven.
Givelify CEO Walle Mafolasire presented a demonstration of the giving app, and accepted the Mayor’s corporate challenge with a $500 donation.

Donate Food
If you live in the Indianapolis metro area or plan to visit, there are 19 food drop-off locations.
While all nonperishable food items are welcomed, for easier sorting we are encouraging a case donation of nonperishable food.
This year, food donations can be made at Fresh Thyme Farmers Market and Cricket Wireless locations throughout Indianapolis.
For every item of food donated, Cricket Wireless will take $1 off activation fees, up to $25 off activation fees for each new line of service.
