What does the 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction fee cover?

These fees help us cover the cost of processing each electronic transaction, maintaining a secure and safe environment for your transactions, and improving features and benefits of the donation app. The fee for donations made with American Express will be 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction. This increase of .6% covers the additional fees to process AmEx donations while continuing to provide the high quality Givelify experience you’ve come to expect.

Are there any additional costs?
